The Shard

Designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano stands 310 metres tall and dominates the skyline with its iconic form. Visit the shard for 360 o Panaramic views of up to 40 miles. Not only is the Shard a landmark to see, but it is the best place to see the London skyscape from and pick out the other landmarks.

Winchester Palace

Visit the impressive ruins of one of the most important and one of the biggest buildings in London in Medieval times. The Palace was home to the powerful Bishops of Winchester, and was almost completely destroyed by fire in 1814. Some of the walls and the west gable remain showcasing the impressive architecture of the period.

The Red Cross Garden

A short walk away is the famous and significant Red Cross Garden that was
designed by the social reformist Octavia Hill, one of the founders of the National Trust. The garden was designed to demonstrate the importance of improving living conditions for the poor. The garden features a rose arbour, a wildflower garden and a pond.
